As already reported, following the results of the regular matches of the 3rd round of the 2022 World Cup group stage held last Wednesday, the Polish national team was among the teams that won tickets to the 1/8 finals. For this national team, leaving the group is a significant achievement.
The last time the Poles played in the playoffs of the World Cup was back in 1986. True, since then the Polish national team has taken part in only three world championships - in 2002, 2006 and 2018.
