The Moroccan national team achieved a historic result at the 2022 World Cup. The wards of Walid Regrahi beat the Canadians in the final round of the group stage and reached the 1/8 finals of the World Cup.
The victory over Canada (2:1) allowed the Moroccans from first place to go to the next stage of the tournament. Thus, Morocco made it to the play-off stage for the first time in 36 years. It is interesting that then the African team also took the first position in the group.
