Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez has announced his resignation.
The 49-year-old Spanish specialist made such a statement after the Belgian national team under his leadership failed to leave the group at the 2022 World Cup, losing the fight for the first two places to Morocco and Croatia. In the last round of the group stage, the Belgians failed to beat the Croats (0:0), and flew out of the World Cup.
We add that Martinez has been the head coach of the Belgian national team since 2016.
