Chinese television has its own atmosphere during the broadcast of the 2022 World Cup matches. Residents of the People's Republic of China get a different picture during the World Cup matches.

As journalist Bill Bertles reports on his Twitter page, Chinese television broadcasts World Cup 22 with a filter that adds a mask to each person's face. In this way, the authorities want to convince the local population that strict restrictions are still in place around the world.

China has a very strict policy against showing people without protective masks. Because of this, Central Television (CCTV) broadcasts the World Cup 2022 meetings with a 30-second delay and censorship. Broadcasters there do not show fans without masks and avoid footage of large crowds in the stadium.
