FIFA recognized the decision of VAR to count Japan's second goal against Spain as correct

FIFA supported the decision of the referee team of the 2022 World Cup match between Japan and Spain (2:1) to count the second goal of the Japanese.

“Japan's second goal in their 2-1 match against Spain was checked using the VAR system to see if the ball was out of play. Video assistants used a camera on the goal line to determine if part of the projection of the ball touched the end line. The rest of the cameras could be misleading, but we have evidence that not the whole ball was out of play, ”commented FIFA.

Судя по видимому расположению перекладины и штанги, камера немного сдвинута влево. Если её сдвинуть вправо, то есть поставить на положенное место, то проекция мяча будет на пару сантиметров на линии.
