The head coach of FC Chornomorets Odesa Roman Grigorchuk commented on the performance of his team in the first part of the current Ukrainian championship. After 14 matches, the Sailors scored only 10 points and now occupy the penultimate, 15th place in the championship standings.

“In the last matches, we planned to achieve a completely different result. All statistics scream that we score a little. So today, in the match against Kryvbas (0:1), we did not have the prerequisites for this - we created too few scoring chances. We have serious problems with this.

Now we are fighting for survival. This is horror, I have a cold on my skin.... I could not imagine this even in a nightmare. But this is not a reason for pessimism. There is no place for him. And it shouldn't be. We must accept the reality that is, accept the fact that we are fighting for survival, and prove ourselves in this struggle in the best possible way.

So we don't give up. It's impossible! Such thoughts must be driven away immediately. In the remaining segment of the Ukrainian championship, it will be necessary to show character, all our skills, and all the efficiency of each football player, each coach. There should be a strong team in Odessa that will fight for high places," Grigorchuk said at a press conference after yesterday's postponed match of the 7th round of the Ukrainian Championship with Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih (0: 1).
