Today is rich in birthdays of individuals who have connected their lives with football. It is worth noting that most of the birthday people on December 8 are very familiar to Ukrainian fans:
Alexander Berezhnoy (1957) - defender, played in Dynamo Kyiv and Tavriya Simferopol. Played 14 matches for the USSR national team. Defending the colors of "blue and white", he once won the union championship and won the country's Cup.
Les Ferdinand (1966) - former English football player. He is best known for his performances for the English clubs Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as for the England national team. He became the first player to score goals for 6 different clubs in the English Premier League. He currently holds the position of sports director of the QPR.
Yuri Maksimov (1968) - former Ukrainian footballer, midfielder. Former coach of Vorskla. He played for the Ukrainian national team, in which he played 27 matches (5 goals). At the end of 1997, he signed a contract for 3.5 years with Werder Bremen, where he played together with compatriot Viktor Skripnik. At first, Werder did not agree on the price with the leadership of Dynamo, but a little later, after Herzog's injury, he agreed to the conditions of the Kyivans and signed Maksimov.
