Spain midfielder Ferran Torres commented on the team's departure to the 1/8 finals of the 2022 World Cup. Recall that the Spaniards lost to Morocco on penalties.

“We didn't deserve to fly out. We were not able to implement what we created, but I am proud of the whole team. The national team played steadily, and penalties are a lottery. We trained them, but we were not lucky. Football owes us. We're going to try to convince Busquets and the veterans to keep playing," Torres said on TVE.
