The head coach of "Karpat" Andriy Tlumak summed up the results of the first half of the season in the first league.

Of course, such teams as "Niva", "Bukovyna" and "Prykarpattia" will fight with "Karpaty" to the maximum, because this is a derby. Against us, every match was played as if it was the last, because everyone wanted to prove that they were not weaker than us. In winter, many players of "Karpaty" will not leave. Of course someone has to go, because fresh blood has to be added. It is an integral part of football. And this happens in every team. However, many footballers will not leave the team, we will select several players so that there is healthy competition and in such competition there should be a result.
We had a normal first round, won second place in our group. I think this is a normal result - not great, but not bad either. We have six points, but it is not critical. I do not agree when they say that we will fight for transfer matches. Maybe they will too. However, in any case, I believe that we can take second place and qualify for the UPL directly. It will be difficult to fight against "Polyssy", because the team there is already complete, has been playing with such a composition for many years, is well financed, has the proper infrastructure. It is actually the fifth team in the Premier League. But we can fight for second place. We need to win all matches in the spring and definitely win in Obolon. Everything is in our hands. If we win our matches, we can easily move into second place.
Now there is a war going on in Ukraine, we understand it all. Thanks to the fact that our country is united, we understand that we are ready to fight and fight for it. The situation is similar in our history. We won because we raised the "Carpathians" and did not let them disappear. If we had not done this, then "Carpathians" would not exist. Now we are half a step away from the goal we are striving for. But don't think that in a year we will be playing in the Champions League. The team has to get on its feet, take certain steps, build infrastructure, etc. And this is not done in one hour and not in one day. I understand that we all want to be in the Champions League and I want that too. We will be there, it's just a matter of time, said Tlumak.
