Argentina forward Lionel Messi has confirmed that the final in Qatar will be his last World Cup game for Argentina.
"I'm very happy to end my journey at the World Cup in the final, to play the last game in the final. This is really gratifying. Many years will pass between this World Cup and the next one. I don't think I can do it. To end the journey like this is brilliant," Messi was quoted as saying by Goal.
In the 2022 World Cup semi-finals against the Croatian national team (3:0), the 35-year-old football player was recognized as the best player of the match. Messi has a goal and two assists.
