The Ukrainian journalist, Dmitry Gordon, said that the Ukrainian businessman, the president of the Ingulets football club, Oleksandr Povoroznyuk, is spreading untrue information about him, which is completely consistent with Russian propaganda.
On December 10, Povoroznyuk gave an interview to Politeka YouTube channel. During the interview, he, in particular, stated that Gordon is an “FSB agent” and that the journalist allegedly has an apartment in Moscow, registered on his mother-in-law.
“Many people want to occupy the niche of an outrageous person. She's always popular, of course. Not only in Russia. We also have people in Ukraine who want to stand out and stand out,” Gordon said. — Yesterday they sent me a video with Povoroznyuk. This is a very funny figure. Such a fat, battered pig... Although I probably said it badly, because I insult pigs. Let's say a toad. He belongs to the category of people who think to make an image for themselves by denigrating popular people.
The journalist emphasized that both statements that Povoroznyuk voiced about him were lies.
“This scarecrow repeated the narratives of Russian propaganda. Russian propaganda no longer knows what to do, how to shut Gordon's mouth. They do not understand. They know one thing: my videos in Russia are watched by tens of millions of people. I am doing a great job for my country, because I tell the truth, tell what I know and see, and many people in Russia begin to think - they also receive one-sided information. I give them truthful information. Therefore, in Russia - I am not too lazy to repeat this - an unprecedented set of measures was taken against me, which was not against any of the citizens of Ukraine in all the years of Ukrainian independence, ”said Gordon.
The journalist recalled that in Russia a criminal case was opened against him under several articles, he was put on the wanted list, arrested in absentia, entered into the register of extremists and terrorists, and later recognized as a "foreign agent". In parallel, Gordon continued, the Russian authorities were looking for ways to defame him. Through the Russian propagandist Andrey Karaulov, they spread the information that allegedly Gordon in the very center of Moscow - "with windows to the Kremlin", in the elite Four Seasons complex - has an apartment worth 1 billion rubles, registered on his mother-in-law. Karaulov claimed that the Ukrainian journalist was allegedly renting this property for 1 million rubles. per month.
“Karaulov devoted five stories to this. He was shaking some piece of paper, saying: “Here, look, an extract paper. You see, here Gordon has an apartment for his mother-in-law ... "I said several times:" Guys, I don’t have not only in Moscow, in Russia in general, no real estate, no business. Nothing! No, and it wasn't. Nothing is recorded on any of my relatives.” In the end, I tell the Russians, the leadership of Russia: “If there is something, then take it!” Say: “Here, we took it!” So they are still silent,” Gordon said. “And this fat, stupid, dumb-headed toad named Povoroznyuk repeats Russian propaganda narratives.”
The journalist turned to Povoroznyuk and urged him to provide evidence of the information he had voiced, and if there was no evidence, to apologize.
“You were prosecuted four times and imprisoned. That is, you understand that according to the laws of the places where you were, you must be responsible for the market. You must justify what you say. Therefore, I urge you to justify what you said, and if you cannot justify it, apologize. And if you can’t apologize, if you don’t have the strength to apologize, I will devote time to you. I'll ruin your reputation and ruin your life. Because it’s so easy with your dirty, stupid mouth to say such things, I won’t let you, ”said Gordon.
