Olimpik's former general director Oleksiy Antonov told about the current state of the club's base in Donetsk occupied by terrorists.
- Recently, a "law" was passed in Donetsk stating that the stadiums "Shakhtar", "Olympic", "Donbass-Arena", "Olympic" and "Metallurg" became the property of a pseudo-republic. As far as I know, armed people lived at the Olympic base. And they lived there for a very long time. There was nothing intact from the base inside, everything was broken and plundered there.
Naturally, no one is watching the fields. For a certain period, we supported our club employees who were in Donetsk. They watched the lawns, watched the stadium. For a very long time, we paid them an allowance so that they could survive in those conditions. Supported them for 5 years, probably. And then people left, and we realized that nothing good would happen there. Now that place is practically a wasteland with abandoned fields and buildings.
As for the office, it was also occupied by the same people. They took away everything that lay badly. There is complete chaos,” Antonov said.
