Roma management expects head coach Jose Mourinho to extend his contract until 2024, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The 59-year-old specialist is one of the main candidates for the post of coach of the Portugal national team after the resignation of Fernando Santos. Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes on Thursday started preliminary talks with the Portuguese Federation.
However, the Giallorossi do not want to part with Mourinho and will not agree to share the Portuguese tactician with their national team. If Jose insists on the Portugal coach position, the Serie A club will seek compensation from the Portuguese federation.
