FIFA President Gianni Infantino spoke at the Federation Council, calling the 2022 World Cup in Qatar the best in history.

In 2018, Infantino called the World Cup in Russia the best in history.

Infantino confirmed FIFA's year-end revenue of $7.5 billion, $1 billion more than budgeted. The FIFA Council approved the budget for the 2023-2026 cycle, with revenues of $11 billion. of which a significant share will be allocated to investments in football in the amount of USD 9.7 billion.
