Former Dynamo Kyiv defender Betao recalled how he played against the newly minted world champion Lionel Messi.

“Even if sometimes he liked to imitate a foul (as can be seen in the photo), he needed, or rather, deserved this crowning in his history. UNRIVALED from my generation! One day my coach instructed me to play against Messi personally. It was an honor that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. It was not pleasant at all, but I felt privileged! Like it or hate it, accept it or not, MESSI IS SIMPLY THE BEST,” wrote Betao on Instagram.
