Former president of Olimpik Donetsk Vladislav Gelzin on FIFA's ban on the appeal of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky before the 2022 World Cup final.

“The message of our President was to convey to the whole world about the resilience of our people and courageous resistance in the war against Russian aggression.

I initiate all our clubs to write an official appeal to the UAF so that the Association announces its official position - that FIFA banned Volodymyr Zelensky from December 18 with the peace formula.

Now I want the UAF to send a negative message to Infantino (Gianni Infantino - FIFA President - ed.) that FIFA did not allow our President to speak. We need to support Volodymyr Zelensky and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In this FIFA ban, the Russian trace is clearly visible. It is clear that Russia is behind Infantino. And if the UAF remains silent, it means that it automatically supports Russia,” Gelzin said.
