Shakhtar Donetsk have revised their position regarding the possible sale of midfielder Maicon to Brazilian Corinthians.
Recall that since the spring of this year, the 25-year-old football player has been playing at Corinthians on loan, but both this club and Maicon himself are eager to continue cooperation. And here it all comes down to negotiations with Shakhtar.
Initially, the Pitmen were ready to let the Brazilian go for an amount of about 10 million euros, but such a "price tag" greatly scared away Corinthians, and the situation with Maicon's future became a dead end. As a result, Shakhtar, according to ESPN, has significantly moderated its financial appetites. According to the source, the Donetsk club is now ready to sell the player for 4-5 million euros. Moreover, the Pitmen agree to pay for such a transfer in installments.
Interestingly, Maicon moved to Shakhtar in 2018 from Corinthians. The amount of that transfer was 6.6 million euros.
Let us add that Micon's contract with Shakhtar is valid until December 31, 2025.
