Manchester City striker Erling Haaland set a new Premier League record with a double in yesterday's match of the 17th round of the Premier League against Leeds (3:1).
The 22-year-old Norwegian now has 20 goals, which he scored during 14 opening matches of the Premier League. No one in the Premier League has been able to demonstrate such a "rate of fire" before.
The previous achievement here belonged to Kevin Phillips, who played in the Premier League from 1994 to 2014: he scored his first 20 goals in 21 matches. Further in the conditional rating of "fast-shooters" are: Andy Cole (20 goals in 23 matches), Ruud van Nistelrooy, Diego Costa and Tony Yeboa (all - 20 goals in 26 matches).
