Dynamo head coach Mircea Lucescu spoke about the club's transfer policy during the war.
- Dynamo Kyiv had a good chance to strengthen the squad, because in recent years we have earned almost 100 million euros just by participating in European competitions. Plus the sale to Everton of Mikolenko, who was the most expensive player in history. So the costs can be covered. In general, the situation in Ukraine is difficult. Even at Shakhtar, the players waited for a salary for two or three months.
In the current conditions, it is difficult to make transfers, because valuable players will not come here, and it is not worth bringing players cheaper than Ukrainian ones. It is better to take Ukrainian players who are easier to adapt to the situation than foreign players. Sometimes you have to wait six months or a year for foreigners to give back,” Lucescu told Digisport.
