As already reported, yesterday the owner and honorary president of the Poltava Vorskla Konstantin Zhevago was detained in France at the request of Ukraine. This happened at the local ski resort of Courchevel.
A day later, journalist Mikhail Tkach published the details of this detention on his Facebook page.
According to a source, Zhevago's lawyers asked him not to go to France, where he had recently "lit up", but for the businessman it turned out to be more important than the annual obligatory ritual - a "party" in the resort of Courchevel.
At first, Zhevago listened: he was in Spain, dined in Ibiza, visited London and Dubai (his yacht “Z” was recently moved there). But in the end, he couldn't resist.
“So that the lawyers would not be nervous, the defendant assured that this year he would suffer in Switzerland. And on December 21, Zhevago's plane took off from Dubai to Geneva. As I have promised. And seven days later, Zhevago was arrested in France in Courchevel. Whoever does not take risks does not drink champagne at the Hotel Le K2 Palace Courchevel,” Tkach also wrote.
Recall that in 2019, Zhevago, who had already fled Ukraine by that time, was suspected in absentia of involvement in a scheme to steal 2.5 billion hryvnias from Finance and Credit Bank through offshore companies, after which he was put on the wanted list. . The owner of Vorskla has not returned to the territory of Ukraine for the past three years.
