In Belarus, the trial in the case of Lvov goalkeeping coach Vasily Khomutovsky, who was arrested in Minsk last fall, has ended.

The reason for the detention of the former goalkeeper was his participation in peaceful protest rallies in Belarus in 2020.

First, Khomutovsky received 13 days in prison for sending materials from a Telegram channel recognized as extremist in Belarus. But the troubles of the coach did not end there.

And the other day, one of the Minsk district courts considered the case of Khomutovsky on the main charge against him and delivered its verdict. The coach of "Lvov" managed to avoid the maximum possible punishment (a prison of up to four years): he was sentenced to two years of restriction of freedom without being sent to an open correctional facility.
