Alex Ferguson (1941) - Scottish striker and football coach. From 1986 to 2013 he was the head coach of the English club Manchester United. Ferguson is the most decorated coach in British football. Recognized as one of the greatest coaches in the history of world football. Takes first place in the list of the best coaches of all time according to World Soccer and ESPN FC.

Ferguson led Manchester United for 26 years, winning a record number of titles in that time, including 13 Premier League wins and 2 Champions League wins. Under Ferguson, United have won more trophies than in their entire previous 100-year history. On 19 December 2010, Ferguson broke Sir Matt Busby's longest-serving head coach record. In 1999, Ferguson was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II. In 2002, he was included in the English Football Hall of Fame.

In the 2012/13 season, United won the Premier League, becoming champions of England for the 20th time in their history. It was Ferguson's 13th Premier League victory. On May 8, 2013, Sir Alex Ferguson announced his decision to step down as head coach of the club at the end of the season. At the end of the season, Ferguson was named the best coach of the year in the Premier League for the 11th time.
