Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford commented on his absence from the team's starting line-up in the match of the 18th round of the English Championship against Wolverhampton (1:0).
"I overslept and was late for the meeting. Such are the principles of the team, and the mistake that can happen. I'm disappointed I didn't play first, but I completely understand the decision. I'm glad we managed to win," Rashford was quoted as saying by BT Sport.
Before the match against Wolves, Manchester United head coach Eric ten Haag said he had kept Rashford on the bench for "disciplinary reasons". The 25-year-old football player appeared on the field in the second half and scored the decisive goal in the match.
