— We instilled in Ivan a love for football as a child. My son and I worked hard to make Ivan grow up to be a good football player. He is very persistent and purposeful: he has set a goal and is on his way to it. How did Ivan end up at Chelsea? Scouts noticed him at the London Cup, one Brazilian contributed to the grandson getting into the examinations, which lasted three months. Ivan then signed a two-year contract with Chelsea.

He had invitations to visit Manchester United and Manchester City, and it was far away, so we chose Chelsea. Although you have to drive two and a half hours here and spend a thousand pounds per month. Of course, Igor (footballer's father - ed.) drove his son and did not spare money for it. Now it will be easier financially, because Chelsea has taken over all the expenses. But Ivan will not receive a salary at the moment.

Which team will Ivan play for? Of course, I would like to see my grandson in the Ukrainian football team. However, in order to get to the national team, a lot of work still needs to be done, said Ivan Struk senior.
