Former midfielder of the Ukrainian national team Yevhen Levchenko spoke on the occasion of his 45th birthday (the ex-football player celebrates his birthday on January 2).
“45 years. The date is not round, but it is definitely iconic. There is no sense of celebration. And I'm not going to celebrate my birthday.
Briefly about last year.
He was very difficult. In my mind, 2022 is the year Russia attacked Ukraine.
During this year, I "purged" myself from many whom I considered adequate. But I also met people who pleasantly surprised me.
I became better at understanding people. Once again I was convinced of the stereotype that life is short. And our actions or lack thereof define who we really are.
I am very glad that I have a family. Every year I appreciate it more and more. And I really hope that our son Kiy will grow up to be a real person.
I realized that even after living abroad for more than 20 years, I feel Ukrainian roots in me. And I absolutely do not care what happens there.
I have always known that I cannot see injustice. And now I have so much energy that I am ready day and night to help people in Ukraine.
45, 45 to wish this ...
So that peace comes to the house. And he will come when the Russian occupiers "leave" Ukraine," wrote Levchenko on his Facebook page.
