Zorya midfielder Vyacheslav Churko talked about the working methods of Mykola Pavlov, with whom he crossed paths in Mariupol.

— This coach has very difficult physical training, it was quite difficult for me there. When I first arrived on base, I had a mohawk. The goalkeeper coach was the first to see me and immediately told me that Pavlov did not like such hairstyles. He started straightening my hair with his palm like an iron. When Pavlov entered the locker room, he looked at me and said: "We don't have hairstyles like that in our team." I realized that I would have to cut my hair a little shorter. He didn't bother me about it anymore.

Once, a football player with shoulder-length hair also came to the team. Pavlov told him immediately: "I'll give you an hour. If you want to play in the team, I'll wait for you in my office with a normal hairstyle." On the same day, the player already had a "semi-box" hairstyle. When Mykola Petrovych shouted, the roof of the base fell, everyone was afraid. Discipline in the team was in the first place. He didn't care what kind of player you were or what country you were from. It was necessary to follow what he told you one hundred percent, said Churko.
