Mac Allister: "I can't believe that I became a world champion at the age of 23"

Brighton midfielder Alexis McAllister shared his impressions of winning the 2022 World Cup.

"On the day of the final, I slept only two hours, so before the match I was not worried. After returning to Argentina, I couldn't go out because people were like crazy, knocking on my door at eight in the morning - I couldn't rest.

I still can't believe that I became a world champion at 23 years old. This is the dream of every football player. A year or two ago, I could not have thought that I would get into the national team. But today, I enjoy the moment. I don't like being in the center of attention. But I'm really happy,” Mack Allister was quoted as saying by The Athletic.
