January 6 marks the 84th anniversary of the legendary player and coach of Dynamo Kyiv and the Ukrainian national team Valery Lobanovsky, who passed away in 2002.
Every year on the birthday of the Maitre, the Dynamo Kyiv football club, together with the fans, honors the memory of the legendary coach.
Traditionally, his relatives and friends, colleagues and friends, football players, employees and coaches of our club of different generations and admirers of the talent of the great mentor come to the grave of Valery Vasilyevich at the Baikove cemetery in Kyiv and to the monument near the Dynamo stadium.
However, in the conditions of martial law in Ukraine, we are forced to abandon the traditional rally in memory of Valery Lobanovsky and public events.
Bright memories of Matre always live in our hearts, regardless of external circumstances, therefore, at a time when Ukraine is defending its independence, FC Dynamo Kyiv asks to honor the memory of our legendary coach, remembering Valeriy Lobanovsky individually as one of the symbols unity, progressiveness and success of Ukrainian football and our entire country.
