The US national team got a new head coach

Former USA national team coach Gregg Bergholter's assistant Anthony Hudson will serve as head coach for the team's upcoming January training camp, according to official national team sources.

Hudson will lead the team during a training camp scheduled to be held in Carson, California, ahead of friendlies against Serbia and Colombia.

The appointment announcement comes amid uncertainty surrounding the future of coach Gregg Bergholter, whose contract expired at the start of the new year. The recent discovery of an incident in 1991 in which Bergholter is accused of abusing his wife Rosalind adds additional spice to the case.

Hudson has been familiar with American football since 2020, when he took charge of the local team Colorado Rapids. Also, the 41-year-old specialist worked with the teams of New Zealand and Bahrain both at the adult level and at the U-23 level.
