The ex-general director of Karpaty Lviv, Igor Dedyshyn, remembered the former striker of this club, Lucas Perez, and explained why he failed to play for Dynamo Kyiv in 2013.
“Lucas was noticed by one of the scouts of Dynamo, but the presidents of the clubs, Petr Dyminsky and Igor Surkis, personally agreed on the transfer. Unfortunately, Lucas did not manage to play in Dynamo. Oleg Blokhin (then head coach of Dynamo, - ed.) and Lucas Perez - both with a specific character. Oleg Vladimirovich is a tough coach, demanding and very principled.
I suspect that perhaps he was not aware that this football player was being taken. I think the transfer of Perez was not agreed with him, because he had a skeptical attitude towards him.
Lucas really wanted to go back to Karpaty. He had a lease for a year, but we agreed with Dynamo and returned him ahead of schedule. And immediately Lucas had an offer from PAOK, ”Dedyshina quotes "Ukrainian football".
