"Bruges" fans: "Yaremchuk is not a football player, he needs to end his career"

"Bruges" lost the first match with the new coach - Scott Parker - to the main rival and the leader of the championship - "Genk" (1:3).

Roman Yaremchuk

There are still many matches ahead, but Club Brugge is already 15 points behind first place. At the same time, the team has a 4-match winless streak in the championship (2 defeats and 2 draws). But everything could have turned out better for Brugge, if not for a terrible miss by Roman Yaremchuk. The Ukrainian forward came on as a substitute and when the score on the scoreboard was 2:1 in favor of Genk, Yaremchuk had a great opportunity to score Brugge's second goal. He managed to miss and his team ended up losing 1-3.

This caused a flurry of emotions from the fans, who harshly criticized Yaremchuk for his weak game and constant misses. Many write that Brugge threw 16 million euros in the trash, and Roman is not worthy of playing for such a strong and ambitious club, so you need to get rid of him.

Laecken: No one ever said that Yaremchuk is worth 16 million euros. This transfer looks like some dirty financial transactions between two clubs. The guy who failed at Benfica becomes a record transfer for Club Brugge. It looked very strange from the beginning, and Yaremchuk's game proved that it was a failed move.

Kellens: Yaremchuk is not a football player, he needs to finish his career. A record transfer, the most expensive football player in the history of the club... And then he goes out on the field and can't hit the ball properly, can't score a goal from 5-6 meters. With such a game, he needs to either end his career or go amateur. There are many such "high-class" players like Yaremchuk.

Van Belle: A talentless, dumb, brash and obnoxious player. I perfectly understand Karl Hufkens, who did not want to release Yaremchuk to the field. This guy doesn't deserve to play for Club Brugge. I feel sorry for Scott Parker, who couldn't believe that the team's most expensive player couldn't hit the goal from that distance. You will not become a champion with such football players.

Soen: Yaremchuk complained about the fact that he was not in the starting line-up, that he was not trusted. But if you don't use such moments, you need to shut your mouth and work 10 times harder in training. Brugge has a lot of football players who consider themselves world-class stars, but at the same time they can't even hit the ball properly.

Nooze: I still think we were misinformed. Maybe this guy is worth 1.6 million instead of 16 million? Then it would make sense. I don't know where the club management was looking when they spent so much money on a talentless player?

Ludo: Yaremchuk plays the way he knows how to play. You can't ask for more from him, he won't play better anymore, he's not the right age. On the contrary, it will regress every year. Therefore, I have no questions for Yaremchuk. The question is only for the sports director, who decided to "strengthen" such a weak forward to the team for 16 million.

Dycker: I can't believe that Yaremchuk didn't hit the goal in this situation. Score a goal into an empty net, the score becomes 2:2, and then you could try to win the match. But Yaremchuk made a mistake, then a player is sent off, then we concede the third goal. Roman should have changed everything in our favor, but his miss made the team even more nervous.

Vanopden: I don't want to see this football player in a Brugge football shirt anymore. It seems to me that he is already fed up with everything, he is not even particularly upset when he cannot score a goal again. Let him stand for a double, and in the summer he must be sold or released for free. He will do more damage as long as he stays on the team.

Groen: Seriously? Here was this untalented footballer who went on strike and was one of those who desperately tried to get Karl Hufkens to resign? Doesn't the club's management see that the problem lies with the footballer himself, who has never played at the level of "Bruges"?

Audenaerde: He also played like that in "Ghent". And in Benfica. He needs to miss 9 times before scoring. He had one good season at Gent, but was it worth buying him for? We spent a lot of money, and instead of strengthening, we got a problem footballer who can't score goals.

Boens: Well, is it possible to call Yaremchuk the worst transfer in the history of Brugge or is it too early? Scott Parker was clearly impressed with how "efficient" the forwards were in the team. I think he already regretted agreeing to work in Belgium. I also think that Parker will not stay in Brugge. He is not the coach who can change the team's game for the better.

Collart: Hufkens has been talking about this for a long time, but no one listened to him. There are a lot of football players like Yaremchuk in the team. They don't know how to play normally, but they like to cause scandals in the locker room and at training. The management of the club should have put these footballers on the spot, fined them and issued a public reprimand. Instead, Brugge decided to fire the coach and do nothing with the players. It is already clear that this was a big mistake.

Lagae: 16 million could buy 2-3 great football players. Let younger, but more promising. We spent a lot of money on a man who doesn't even know how to play football, but at the same time likes to do everything to fire coaches who don't let him on the field. A terrible mistake by the management of Brugge.

Eeckert: 16 million euros flushed down the toilet It's been a long time since I've seen such a failed transfer, such a forward who knows how to make a lot of scandals, but doesn't know how to play normally. It is a pity that the scouts of our club paid attention to this "footballer" at all.

Stroobants: This guy isn't worth 2 euros. What millions are there? He only spoils everything. Such a guy should not have been invited to the team for free. No one is surprised anymore that he can't score a goal. Rather, it will be a big surprise for everyone when he finally gets to the ball and scores a goal.

Recker: The problem is that we can't get rid of Yaremchuk so quickly. I don't remember exactly what the rules are now, but before it was not possible to play for three clubs in one season. Yaremchuk played for Benfica, and then for Club Brugge. It turns out that we can't sell it or rent it out in the winter?

Wellens: It would be interesting if someone could calculate how many points Club Brugge lost due to Yaremchuk's mistakes. Today we could have drawn, but we lost because of the Ukrainian. There were many such situations this season. It is clear that he is not the only one to blame for Brugge's poor performance, but he is still the most expensive player in the club's history, so he is given special treatment.

Neven: After such a match, I would forget about Yaremchuk forever. Let him play in doubles until the summer, and then leave. Sorry, but a forward who cost the team 16 million euros has no right to be wrong all the time. And then be indignant that he is not included in the main team. Yaremchuk should get rid of him, he is a low-level football player.

Princen: Yaremchuk was simply not ready for such pressure. Everything was forgiven him in "Ghent", although he also often did not use the best moments. This is not forgiven in Brugge, but Yaremchuk does not want to understand that he is to blame for all his problems.

Lenchant: Yaremchuk is a beer league level. When you sit on the bench with a huge belly, drinking beer, then they let you out on the field, and you can't really hit the ball, but everyone has fun because the result is not the main thing. Only Brugge fans are not funny. You can already forget about the championship title. Here it would be possible to get to the European Cups based on the results of the season.
