Toronto striker Lorenzo Insigne has admitted he had options to stay in Serie A after his contract with Napoli expires.
"I had several offers from Italy, but as I have said many times, I am Neapolitan and a Napoli fan, so I would only wear this shirt in Serie A. There were also options from abroad, but these projects did not impress me , as opposed to "Toronto". It was difficult because I had never been so far away from home, but now I am living the experience to the fullest. Now I just want to enjoy myself and try to win something with this team," La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted the 31-year-old as saying.
We will remind that in the summer of 2022, Insigne joined the MLS club as a free agent.
