CAS rejected Shakhtar's claim against FIFA

In Switzerland, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) considered Shakhtar's claim against FIFA for 50 million euros.

The Donetsk team argued that the football authorities violated Ukrainian law, Swiss law and European Union competition law with their decision on legionnaires, according to which foreign players and coaches received the right to suspend their employment contracts with Ukrainian clubs until June 30, 2023.

At the same time, several similar lawsuits of Russian clubs were rejected by the "package".
