The former coach of Dynamo Kyiv and the national team of Ukraine Yozhef Sabo commented on the transfer of Viktor Tsygankov and joining the coaching staff of Oleksandr Shovkovskyi.
Joseph Szabo— How did you react to the information about Tsygankov's transfer to "Girona"?
— There were many conversations about Viktor's transfer to different clubs, but they remained conversations. They wrote for the sake of writing, like now about Mudryk.
I think that Tsygankov's transfer to "Girona" is simply to go somewhere. Maybe he will play there. In terms of playing style, the championship suits him - it is not England or Germany. The game is softer there, you can accept it, process it. Let's see how it will be with injuries. Many clubs did not want to take him precisely because he was often injured. After frequent injuries, Tsygankov lost the game he had. Only time will tell how Viktor will play in the new team.
— Will the return of Kyiv players from loan strengthen the team?
- Do not think. For me, it's quantity over quality. Good football players were taken away, legionnaires. Other players will simply be for the number. High-quality players in the UPL will not leave now - every day rockets fly at us, war. The striker remains a problem for Kyiv. It is clear that the club is counting on Vanat - they are betting on him. Buying a good legionnaire player for the forward position is now an impossible task, and these signings of football players for 200-300 thousand are simply for the number.
— "Dynamo" will hold one and a half month meetings. What advice would you give the team?
— After the meeting, Dynamo will be completely different, because last year Luchechku "drove" the team to participate in the Champions League. Then came the decline. Now the team needs to properly hold meetings. Just don't do friendly games every other day. Other lineups, frequent sparring put pressure on psychology. First, you need to conduct general physical training. Then speed action, tactics and everything else. I think that Dynamo will prepare well this time. There are good players there for our championship.
— Will Shovkovsky joining the coaching staff of the Stolino club be a plus for the Dynamo team?
— Alexander is an experienced player, dynamic player. I took him from the lower teams once. After a good career as a player, Oleksandr worked with different coaches and gained coaching experience. But, in this situation, there may be a problem - will Lucescu give him freedom? Mircea wants to lead by himself, so there is a question whether Sovkowski will be able to do something his way and whether Lucescu will listen to his suggestions.
