Richarlison: "Getting out of the World Cup was worse than losing a family member"

Tottenham striker Richarlison spoke about his emotions after Brazil's exit from the 2022 World Cup. "Seleção" left the World Cup in Qatar at the 1/4 final stage, losing to Croatia in a series of post-match penalties.

"It was a blow, I don't know. I think it's worse than losing a family member. It was hard to come to my senses after that. I still feel sad when I watch videos on social media. But we must move on. I'm still young, I think I still have one or two World Cups ahead of me. I'll continue to work hard to get things back on track, to start scoring goals, and that's what I can do on the pitch," ESPN quoted the 25-year-old as saying.
