UEFA may tighten transfer rules in connection with the transfer of Mudrik to Chelsea

The sensational transfer of Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea London for €100m could lead to UEFA tightening transfer rules, reports the Daily Mail.

According to the source, a number of Premier League clubs drew the attention of UEFA to how the transfer of the Ukrainian was processed. We are talking about the fact that Chelsea actually found a loophole with which they circumvented the rules of financial fair play: the London club resorted to a kind of depreciation, spreading Mudrik's transfer fee over eight years.

Chelsea cannot currently be accused of breaking any rules, but it is reported that UEFA has responded to the signals received and plans to take measures to further exclude the possibility of such maneuvers bypassing financial fair play.
