"Shakhtar" will appeal the decision of CAS in the case against FIFA in the Federal Court of Switzerland, the general director of the club, Serhiy Palkin, told AS.
"We are not satisfied with the CAS decision. We will go to the Swiss Federal Court, to the European Commission, because we are sure that FIFA has violated antitrust laws. If FIFA continues to use this rule at the end of the season, many of the players we have signed will have their contracts suspended and we will lose them for free.
As of June 2023, our losses will be €40 million. If FIFA continues to use this rule, they will increase to 70 million. Some players will break their contracts and our losses will increase.
We will also meet with the ECA (European Club Association) to create a series of documents that will allow us to win the lawsuits against FIFA," Palkin said.
It will be recalled that earlier the CAS rejected Shakhtar's lawsuit.
