UEFA is ready for dialogue with the aggressor country.
According to the information of the Russian mass media, UEFA and the RFS (Russian Football Union) will hold a meeting on January 24. It will discuss the potential return to international matches of Russian clubs and national teams, which were suspended by FIFA and UEFA on February 28, 2022 due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
We will remind, despite the imposed sanctions, UEFA continues to be loyal to Russia. In May, the main European football body plans to hold an international tournament for youth national teams in Volgograd. UEFA also continues to pay money to Russians under financial programs.
