UAF decided to show a letter from FIFA and UEFA with a warning to Ukraine (SKRIN)

The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) decided to publish on its official website a letter from FIFA and UEFA regarding the possible disqualification of Ukraine due to alleged pressure on members of the UAF Executive Committee.

It should be noted that this document is a response to a letter to FIFA and UEFA signed by a "bunch of deputies" of UAF President Andrey Pavelko - Oleg Protasov, Alexei Mikhailichenko and Anatoly Demyanenko, who stated that they were allegedly under pressure.

“We refer to your letter dated December 8, 2022 and the subsequent events that allegedly took place since that time in relation to the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).

We note with serious concern that members of the UAF Executive Committee are allegedly being pressured into signing demands to hold an extraordinary meeting of the UAF Executive Committee.

In this context, we recall the obligations of the UAF to manage its affairs independently and without undue influence from third parties. Any violation of this obligation may lead to the suspension of the UAF membership in FIFA and UEFA in accordance with Art. 16 of the FIFA Statutes and Art. 9 of the UEFA Statutes," the letter signed by FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura and UEFA Secretary General Theodore Theodoridis says.
