Former Norway striker Jan Oge Fjortoft has spoken about his meeting with former Bayern coach Josep Guardiola, who was interested in Real Madrid midfielder Martin Edegore in 2015.
"When I was with Bayern at a training camp in Qatar, Pep Guardiola came up to me, put his finger on my chest and said: 'You have to bring Edegaard to Bayern, I'll make him the best player in the world.' I replied to him: "There is a problem because you yourself will soon leave Bayern," Fjortoft was quoted as saying by Sport Bild.
We will remind that the 2015/16 season was the last for Guardiola in Munich, and Edegore joined the London "Arsenal" in 2021.
