The Portuguese did not have the opportunity to say goodbye to teammates after his contract was terminated. Ronaldo gave the infamous interview to Piers Morgan, after which he immediately left with Portugal for the World Cup in Qatar.

At the same time, the 37-year-old striker, who signed the most expensive contract in history with Al Nasser, promised to keep in touch with some teammates and sent out invitations to them for summer holidays.

“There are still a few players at United who have a lot of respect for Ronnie and they never got to say goodbye to him. He left the group of players on WhatsApp, but promised to keep in touch with some of them, inviting them to join him in Saudi Arabia. Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Raphael Varane are very close to him," a source told The Sun.
