Mason Greenwood was acquitted in the case of raping his own girlfriend

Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood is no longer a suspect in the case of possible rape of his own girlfriend, the Manchester Evening News reports.

As the source informs, Manchester police dropped all charges against the 21-year-old football player. Mason Greenwood was under arrest for more than a year.

"Key witnesses in the Greenwood case refused to testify in court. New materials also appeared that changed the primary opinion of the court. Case closed,” the Superintendent of Police said.
