English Championship, round 22
"Tottenham" (London) — Man City (England) — 1:0 (1:0)
Goals: Kane (15)
Warnings: Rodrigo Bentancur (23), Romero (26), Perisic (75), Ederson (83), Romero (87), Walker (90+7)
The match between Tottenham and Manchester City turned out to be spectacular, with Tottenham scoring the decisive goal with just fifteen minutes left. The first yellow card of the match went to Tottenham's Rodrigo Bentancur in the 23rd minute, with teammate Carlomagno Romero also receiving a yellow card just three minutes later. At the hour mark, Manchester City replaced Raheem Mahrez with Kevin De Bruyne, and just fifteen minutes later Tottenham responded in kind, with Ivan Perisic replacing Ryan Sessegnon. But Perisic's stay on the field was short-lived: four minutes later he received a warning and immediately after that he was transferred to Son Heung-min. The most tense moment of the game came in the 87th minute when Romero took his second card of the match. This time his card was red, which reduced the number of Tottenham players to ten and made the match even more exciting. Tottenham made their third and final substitution that evening when they replaced defender Davide Kulusevski with Dino Sanchez shortly after. The last card of the evening was a yellow card from Manchester City's Kyle Walker in the 90th minute. But that wasn't enough to save them from defeat as Tottenham simply held onto their one-goal lead throughout the match.
In the next round, the opponents are waiting for such matches: Leicester - Tottenham, Man. City - Aston Villa.
