Former striker of the Russian national team Dmitry Kirichenko suggested that he was waiting for the Russian national team in case of transfer to the Asian Football Confederation.
“Let's face it: the Iranian team is not weaker than Russia. It is clear that now Karpin is experimenting with the composition and so on. And there is also Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia - they are no worse either. Russia will be among the leaders. But definitely not a head stronger,” Kirichenko said.
