French Strasbourg announced the appointment of a new head coach of the first team. It was the domestic specialist Frederic Antonetti. Already today, the 61-year-old mentor will hold the first training session with his new team.
Previously, Antonetti coached a number of French clubs - Bastia, Lille, Saint-Étienne, Nice, Rennes and Metz. The specialist also has a short work experience in Japan, where he headed the local Gamba Osaka for one season.
In Strasbourg, Antonetti is faced with the task of bringing the team entrusted to him out of the peak, which he entered in the current French championship: after 23 rounds, the team is in the "relegation zone", taking 17th place in the standings.
