Viacheslav Zakhovailo: "It's unreasonable to expect any bright game from Dynamo now"

Vyacheslav Zakhovailo, a well-known manager and expert, assessed Dynamo's game against Pakhtakor (0:1).

Vyacheslav Zakhovailo

- What were your impressions of the match?

- Against Dynamo, Pakhtakor looked very decent. Our players, against the background of fatigue, cannot maintain the pace, play intense football, the ball does not move. This is normal for the training camp. There were a lot of deficiencies in the transitional phases - there are big problems there. In this game, Kyiv lost in many aspects, they seemed like young boys. So far, there is no solidity. Lucescu is looking for the main squad, shuffling the line-up.

- Popov and Dyachuk started the match with uncertainty - what is the reason for their individual deficiencies?

- They are playing on fatigue. When you are tired and driven, there is no freshness in decision-making. Dynamo's centre of defence is a separate issue.

- How would you assess Yatsyk's actions when the team came out of defence?

- He is still playing youth football. He will gain strength and experience, tell his age and he can develop into a good player. For now, a group of youngsters are playing youth football.

- Is it possible to ease the transition from youth football to adult football?

- There should be a programme to adapt youngsters to adult football. Unfortunately, we do not know how to work with this. You choose a line-up for the whole season and you don't see any changes. We threw someone into the line-up - if he made it, that's good. If he didn't make it, what can you do? That's why our transition is lame.

- Why was Pakhtakor's pressure in the first half a difficult situation for Dynamo?

- Any team, even a team like Pakhtakor, which has the means to pursue a transfer policy, is balanced. The opponent did not play hit-and-run, everything was neat, through the pass. "Pakhtakor played positionally competently, successfully pressing. Still, the action is equal to the opposition. The game of the Kyiv team allowed them to show such football, Dynamo did not have the strength to press.

- Who is to blame for the missed goal?

- There were a number of mistakes: they broke through the flank, allowed a pass to be made where our central defenders were, the goalkeeper had to play on the outlet, and our left-back was there - he could not win the fight. "Pakhtakor took advantage of this. Also, in order to win martial arts, you need athleticism.

- The Kyiv team didn't create enough chances. What should we do with the execution?

- Realisation will improve when the workload ends and the team is a little more relaxed - now many players play through their legs, they don't run. When the team switches to other training regimes, then it will be possible to demand something from them. Now it's foolish to expect any kind of bright play from them.

The only thing I don't like is that we don't play anything new. There is a stagnation in this. The training camp is about trying something new. Even if it doesn't work out. Now Sydorchuk bounces into the third zone when he plays. Yes, the ball channels are changing a little bit, but that's all. Our support zone has been excluded from the game as it was and remains. The ball does not reach the attack, or only because of the struggle - it is covered in blood.

- It seems that Dynamo still hasn't played the team...

- Perhaps there is some technology in the links, Lucescu lets us down, chooses, but there are no signs that the main line-up is clearly playing.

- How do you see the main line-up of Kyiv?

- The bar for players is set by the club. It sets goals and objectives. If these players are now in the main team, then the management is happy with everything. You can't scold or criticise anyone here. We have what we have.
