Uzbekistan is not squeamish about hosting football matches with the terrorist country of Russia, which has been waging an occupation war in Ukraine for a year. Odil Akhmedov, vice president of the Uzbek Football Association, said he was ready to host a friendly match between the Uzbekistan and Russia national teams in Moscow.
"We have not yet discussed with the RFU the issue of a friendly match between the national teams of Uzbekistan and Russia. I liked our last friendly match (0-0 in Tashkent in November), so we will return to this issue, and I think a friendly game will take place in the future.
It is not a problem for us to hold a match in Russia. The more so, we hosted the Russian national team in Tashkent, now it is the turn of the RAF. We should agree on the venue. If it is Moscow, it will not be a problem for the Uzbekistan national team to come there for a friendly against Russia," Sport24 quoted Akhmedov as saying.
