Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Tsygankov of Spain's Girona thanked his current club for helping Ukraine during its fight against Russian aggression and said he would participate fully in such actions.
"I was very helped to have the opportunity to play in Europe, at Girona. So I just have to help my country and the Ukrainians in any way I can.
I am very pleased that Girona cares about Ukraine and Ukrainians, because our country and people living there need help a lot. Even the animals who are left without a home. It's important that they get help, because these are really difficult times for the whole country. It is very nice that people care about us.
Let's hope that Girona will continue to help. Thank you very much for what you're doing. It's very important for all Ukrainians and our whole country," Tsygankov told the Girona press service.
