Andriy Pavelko has withdrawn his appeal against his removal from the post of UAF president. The reasons are unknown. This means that as of today, February 23, the ruling of the Pechersk Court on his removal from the position of the head of the football association has entered into force. The suspect failed to meet the deadline for filing an appeal (5 days from February 17).
As a reminder, on February 17, 2023, the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court of Bila Tserkva granted the investigators' motion to remove UAF President Andriy Pavelko from office.
The judge allocated five days for the appeal. After that, the decision comes into force. Which, in fact, happened today. However, lawyers say that the deadline for filing an appeal may be extended. And it can be counted from the date of receipt of the full text of the decision of Bila Tserkva. It was announced on February 22. Accordingly, Andriy Pavelko may ask the court to extend the appeal period.
However, as of today, February 23, the decision to remove Andriy Pavelko from the post of UAF president has already entered into force. So, at least until the new appeal (and he has the right to do so at least until February 27), he will be considered suspended.
