During the war that has been going on in our country for a year now, the Surkis Brothers Foundation has been helping not only the Armed Forces of Ukraine and individual military units, but also providing targeted assistance to socially vulnerable groups of the population.

The Foundation was approached by a family from Kyiv, where 10-year-old Oleksandr is growing up with his mother Tetyana and grandmother. Throughout his life, he has been struggling with a serious illness, and until now, the boy has not had special medical equipment that would allow him to recover.

The family takes care of the child as much as possible. Sashko is learning - in particular, his teacher comes to him three times a week and gives him individual lessons. He also works with a rehabilitation therapist twice a week, but for the best results from these sessions, a verticalizer was vital for him - a multifunctional medical device that would fix the child's position for the proper development of internal organs, and also allow Sasha to write, read, and even work on a laptop while in it.

The boy's mother turned to the Surkis Brothers Foundation and simply begged for help, as the cost of this device was unbearable for their family. Moreover, they had already purchased many things at their own expense, including an expensive special chair to sit at the computer, which allows the child's torso to be kept in a straight position.

After receiving a request for help from Ms. Tetyana, representatives of the Surkis Brothers Foundation directly contacted manufacturers of similar certified equipment based in Poltava, but they did not have the exact verticalizer that was needed - they had to look elsewhere. When the necessary device was purchased and delivered to the family in Kyiv today, their joy was overwhelming - it was important for Sasha, his mother Tatiana and grandmother to know that they were not left alone with their problem.

The Surkis Brothers Foundation was pleased to join in to help Sasha's family and support another child's life, giving them a chance and opportunity to fight such a serious illness.
